The town centre is positioned past the top left corner of the map. Keep going that way and you’ll get to West Street which is great for bars and clubs! About a mile to the bottom left you’ll find Ecclesall Road which is also very lively. Around this area you’ll also find the Porter Brook medical centre which you can use to make appointments with a GP.

Things to do in Sheffield!

1) Meadowhall Shopping Centre

With over 250 high street stores it is the largest in Yorkshire, e.g-Debenhams, Topshop, House of Fraser. The Oasis dining area has many fast food outlets e.g-McDonalds and restaurants e.g-Wagamamas, great for a bite to eat! It's cheap to get to either on tram (£2.40) or train (£3.00 return)

2) Botanical Gardens

It's free! With a variety of interesting plants and a 30 minute walk for campus, serving really tasty food in the cafe (think sausage sandwiches and cakes!)

3) Bungalows and Bears (Night out!)

10 minutes away from campus with live music and tasty American diner style food-remember Tuesday 2-for-1 burgers from diner menu!

4) Winter Garden

Only 2 minutes away from campus and free! It's the largest urban glass house in Europe and is a peaceful environment for students to work whilst having a nice day out!

5) Heeley City Farm

20+ minutes away from campus, it's free and great for animal lovers! Enjoy the green spaces and big pigs lazing about with a farm kitchen with fresh produce available!

6) The Leadmill (Night out!)

Only 2 minutes away from campus and a great place for live music, cheap drinks and events. It has been voted as Sheffield's best live music venue on numerous occasions with Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys being just a couple of acts to have graced the stage!

7) The Benjamin Huntsman (Wetherspoons)

This is a great pub for a more talkative environment with friends and only 10 minutes from campus. Quick food service for affordable prices and a range of drinks to choose from!

8) The Original Bierkiller (Night out!)

10 minutes from campus, this German pub has plenty of events such as Monday quiz nights and Tuesday Rock 'n' roll bingo. Don't miss £5 meal every Sunday and Xmas parties with live music coming up.

9) London Road

20 mins from campus with cheap, authentic restaurants from all over the world, half the price of other restaurants in Sheffield-Vietnamese, Turkish, Japenese, Polish, Indian, Mexican and more!

10) Weston Park

It's free! 30 minutes from campus on foot, with woodland walks and an on site museum with a shop stocking original gifts and souvenirs, open every day! 2016 galleries e.g-'Picturing Sheffield' and 'What on Earth!' are available for a browse now.
